THE VEHICLE OFFERED
According to the original owners manual this 1967 Ford was sold new in Ontario Oregon in 1967. Ontario Oregon is a small agricultural town on the border of Idaho and Oregon, a high desert climate. The truck offered has obviously never left the climate because the metal is clean and in remarkable condition. This F100 has an incredible patina that is often imitated but impossible to replicate. Wearing its original paint in entirety this truck is a true survivor. It must be made clear that it is free of any cancerous rust. Signs of oxidation and patina are throughout but none of the metal is rusty.
In reference to the original data tag this Ford was manufactured in San Jose California. It was assigned to the Salt Lake City region matching up with its Idaho originality. It was delivered as a spec F110 4×4 with the 352 V8 engine, manual transmission and the 8′ pickup bed.
The selling dealer “Gentry Ford Sales, Inc” badge is still riveted to the side of the cab matching the owners manual. It is believed to be a two owner truck. These days it proudly wears the patina and bumps of the decades. The truck has recently benefited from a minor restoration as needed. Cosmetically it has new tires, a spray in bed bed liner, reupholstered bench seat, windshield, and a dash cover. Mechanically it has received the following; brake master cylinder, drums and pads, mufflers, and headlight switch. This truck has a great body, great history and has all kinds of style and charisma.
HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE
The fifth generation of the Ford F-Series is a line of pickup trucks and commercial trucks that were produced by Ford from 1967 to 1972.
