As a kid I built a dream collection of model cars and today that collection is being realized with actual vehicles.
While the first word most kids say is “Mom” or “Dad,” my first was car. As a freshman in high school I worked at a local dealership as a lot boy. Since then I have been an automotive specialist in various dealership roles. With over 10 professional years of experience, I am now the owner of Modern Classic Autos in Boise, Idaho.
At Modern Classic Autos, you’ll find names you’re probably familiar with, like Alfa Romeo, Porsche and Maserati with others that might not be as well known, like Lancia. I love having the opportunity to offer European cars that people in the U.S. have never seen. My inventory includes classic and modern classic cars that you wouldn’t find at a regular dealership.
This is a hot market, and data from the Historic Automobile Club International shows rare collectible cars have actually outperformed the S&P 500 index by nearly 8 times from 2005 to 2015 with classic car sales topping $1.45 billion in North America in 2015.
